An important part of any admissions strategy involving selective schools is applying early to one university. While there are certainly some drawbacks, the advantages, in my opinion, far outweigh them. In light of the record-low admission rates for the Class of 2022, I continue to counsel my students to find a school that stands out academically, financially, and extracurricularly and be prepared to demonstrate that fit by applying early action or early decision.
